Spanning more than a decade of a career in Art, Varnita Sethi’s artworks, paintings as well as installations delve into the larger perspective of deriving a form imbued with colour, medium and texture. Exploring diverse concepts like sexuality, tribal ethos, urban concerns and diversity, among others infused in one composite object, Sethi’s practice evolves from a sheer sense of experimenting and observing the adaptation as it proceeds.

Born in Delhi, Sethi has regularly engaged in arts education programmes while exhibiting at several venues across India. His artworks are a part of reputed collections like the National Gallery of Modern Art, the Niv Art Centre and private companies. Withdrawing from her family’s interest in collecting antiques that indicate cultural belonging, the perception of the same has eventually seeped into Sethi’s process of art-making, albeit developing a new contemporary identity. They are an amalgamation of global discourses that nurture a current flow of phenomena.
